Reproducibility of the new Leishmania vaccine: Changes in T1, T2 and spleen white pulp responses after re- exposure to live promastigote of Leishmania major

Introduction: Human leishmaniasis is distributed worldwide and mainly in the tropics subtropics, with a prevalence of 12 million cases an approximately incidence 0.5 VL 1.5 cutaneous (CL). Leishmania parasites are vector-born protozoan pathogens found tropical subtropical regions both old new world. The disease human can be divided into cutaneous, visceral, mucosal syndromes. aim this study was more experiments over our previous formulation leishmania major vaccine which had satisfactory results. Method: For detail procedure refers to author’s publications. Briefly, hundred twenty Balb/cmice were randomly four groups as LT, LB, LBT control groups. LB injected subcutaneously antigen same booster doses two weeks intervals. expansion rates spleen white pulp size evaluated using light microscope levels serum Th1 (IFN- γ, IL-12) Th2 (IL-4, IL-10) cytokines measured ELISA method. Results: Comparing LT groups, group highest IL12, lowest IL10 increase size. Significant correlation observed between IL12 but not IFN gamma or IL4. Conclusion: present indicated that received crude cocktail plus alcoholic extract Teucrium polium BCG adjuvant showed profile comparing LB,since lower could help infected subjects inhibit eradication intracellular amastigotes, also seen white-pulp pointed synergistic effects T. BCG.
